Pray For Our POTUS, Our Nation ~ in this time of North Korean threat

hand reaching

O Mighty God, we thank you that you have your hand on our president, Donald J. Trump, in this time of crisis with North Korea and the threats of their tyrannical and antagonistic leader. We thank you that you have reached out your hand over our nation to protect America and its territories in this season of crisis.

We know that in prayer, we do not fight flesh and blood, but powers in the spirit realm and principalities that exist there. In this crisis with North Korea, All Mighty God, send your warrior angels to defeat the minions of the evil one making their camp in that isolated and withdrawn land. Let Your divine and perfect will be done in this situation and all glory and honor go to You. In Jesus name, amen.

Psalm 91New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or of the arrow that flies by day;
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not approach you.
You will only look on with your eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.
9 For you have made the Lord, my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
10 No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.

11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.
12 They will bear you up in their hands,
That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.

14 “Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
15 “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16 “With a long life I will satisfy him
And let him see My salvation.”

Jesus Heals This Land ~ a visionary dream

Jesus 1
I had a healing dream. Not specifically to any person, yet a powerful healing dream…definitely a God dream.

I don’t usually remember my dreams…any of them. However, one night not long ago my little dog Sophie, who sleeps with me, woke me up. At first I was annoyed with her and then I realized I’d been dreaming…and what a dream.

Jesus stood in the middle of the American prairie. The Rocky Mountains were behind Him. Very soft, gentle, tiny, rippling waves of healing emanated from His sandled feet and went out across the entire plains toward the mountains. The overwhelming feeling I had in the dream was He had such great compassion for all of creation and its suffering and fallen state His desire was to heal even the smallest wound of the tiniest creature, even the blades of grass. Yet, as the ripples of healing continued from His sandals, His over-arching desire was to heal “this land”, this country…America.

It was such a powerful dream. I am not usually a visionary dreamer. The fact is years go by and I don’t remember a single dream. I feel so humbled and blessed to have remembered this one. I pray it blesses others.

@ JacksonvilleTrump Inaugural Ball ~ had a blast

img_2256

Last night there was no shortage of good food, happy people having a wonderful time, a great band for dancing and fun. Grand Banquet Hall, University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Fl.

One of the most wonderful things about this inauguration, from the Trump Welcome Concert to the Washington, D.C. balls (which we watched on a large screen with sound on mute, as our own band was playing)…to the upcoming National Prayer service on Saturday is the feeling this is the people’s inauguration. Watching the D.C. inaugural festivities, though certainly elegant and replete with pomp, also often had a hometown feel. I loved the absence of so-called “A-List” celebrities.

‘Big Data’ Got It Wrong ~ epic fail

big-data

One of the things I love about America is the individualism of its people. I love quirky people with unique personalities who can’t be quantified and parceled into neat little marketing groups. I guess that’s why I’m not fond of focus groups. So, I wasn’t at all unhappy when ‘big data’ got it wrong about the 2016 election.

The fact that all the analysts couldn’t slice and dice and pigeon-hole the American people thrilled me, gave me hope for the future. I’m not speaking politically in terms of Republican or Democrat. I’m saying they couldn’t predict the behavior of the American electorate and I like that.

Of course I’m sure the analysts and marketeers are having break downs. They’ve made lots of money off of the American people and can well afford the price of their psychiatrists. So, I don’t feel too badly for them. They’re freaking out because they are now doubting their ability to accurately segment the American populace into groups they can sell more stuff to. That’s a good thing, IMO. And I’m not against selling. I’m not even against data. We just rely on it much too much. Especially in our intelligence agencies. We need to get operatives on the ground, but that’s another topic.

This is about what I’m for. I’m for the type individualism in America that has bread excellence. I’m for the American entrepreneurial spirit, creative genius, the can do attitude that has always been part of our nation. I’m for the get-up-and go that has been demonstrated in the American story. I’m for the colorful differences between the many groups in America (the races, religions, ethnicities…all of them, don’t leave out the ones that don’t appear to be PC). I love the pride and the quirks of regional America. I want to celebrate these attributes which are found in a people with spirit and a greater reliance on individualism.

Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord, not for human masters. ~ Colossians 3:23 [NIRV]

The morning began with a rousing presentation of patriotic songs. One woman in the crowd commented to me how she was saddened we don’t hear these songs too much any more.

I replied that when I was a girl we used to sing them in school, and when we get rid of Common Core, parents and local school boards could determine to sing them once again in schools.

After the opening some of us walked the streets talking to residents and leaving fliers. I was one who walked and I had a ball.
